Khayyam International Women Chess Open Tournament

Chess Association of "Khorasan–Razavi" province on behalf of I.R.Iran Chess Federation has the honor to invite all players from national federations to participate in the KhayyamInternational WomenChess Open Tournament will be held in Mashhad, northeastern of Iran,from February 2-12,2012.

1.     Participation in the Khayyam International Chess Tournamentis open to all Women.

2.     Each National Chess Federation has right to nominate and send one player as official invited player.

3.     Organizing Committee shall  provide free participation, domestic  Transfer (from Tehran to Mashhad and return) and full board accommodation (with 3 meals per day) in Samen Hotel, for official invited  players as well as WIM, or WGM title holders and+2300 rated chess players.

Registration is free for WGMs and players with FIDE ratings of 2300 and above.

Mashhad is the capital of"Khorasan–Razavi"province in northeaster of I.R.Iran and one of the touristiest cities in Iran. It has an International airport and directly is connected by different airlines to many major destinations like:

Istanbul, Dubai, Bahrain, Doha, Bangkok, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Kuwait, Baghdad, Najaf, Almaty, and etc.also there are more than 15 daily flights from Tehran.

In this case the cost of two – way Tehran – Mashhad – Tehran ticket is USD 120 and must be paid before the technical meeting.

1.     Accommodation and full board will be provided in Samen Hotel

2.     All WGM title holders and players with rating 2300 and above shall be

Provided free full board accommodation on a twin sharing basis, from February 2 to 12, 2012

3.     Every player with rating 2000 to 2300 shall pay USD 35 per day for full board accommodation on a twin sharing basis.

4.     Accommodation fee for other players is USD 45 for each person per day.

5.     Single full board accommodation will be available for USD 68 per day

Fifteen Thousand U.S.D (15000 USD) in cash, prizes shall be awarded:

1-    The Khayyam International Chess Open Tournament will be played in 11 rounds using the Swiss System.

2-    The time control shall be 90 minutes for the whole game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

3-    The FIDE Laws of Chess shall apply. The tournament will be FIDE rated.

4-    The Swiss Manager program shall be used for pairings.

INVITATIONS FOR VISAS:

For those who need visas, the Organizing Committee shall issue invitations for them to apply at the I.R.Iran consulate in their countries.

REGISTRATION FORM:

All participating players are kindly requested to fill in the attached registration form, which should include passport copy, passport particulars of participants, and return the same to the Organizing Committee not later than January 19 -2012.
